Kanshiaking… The Elegant Land

The land has been witness to it all. More than 500 years ago an abundance of fish filled clear water; a multitude of animals and birds filled vast forests and open meadows. The seasons blanketed the land with winter snow, spring rain, summer warmth and autumn leaves. The few people who lived here toppled only the trees they needed for survival and dug the earth to plant seeds. The arrival of explorers and settlers forever changed the complexion of this pristine New World.
