Partners in History was a professional development program for teachers in partnership with the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (IU17) from 2003 to 2006. Each year, approximately 15 teachers were selected to participate. Teachers completed an orientation day at the IU, a two-day symposium at the Museum, and a week’s residency at the Museum, and receive 90 Act 48 hours. Teachers then created curriculum activities utilizing objects and documents from the Museum’s Pennsylvania history collections, for which they received a stipend.
